AIMS-2-TRIALS autism science

This project is part of the AIMS-2-TRIALS research programme. Here is some of the science our consortium is working on:

  • Understanding the biology of autism through the search for 'biomarkers'
  • Seeking biological markers to indicate whether a person has or may develop particular characteristics
  • Looking for autism subgroups to help tailor support/intervention
  • Understanding the origins of autism in different people
  • Testing medicines, for people that want them, to help with social difficulties, repetitive behaviours and sensory processing

Check out our videos below to hear our scientists talk about the work they are doing within AIMS-2-TRIALS.
